Thanks to one of our intrepid readers, we discovered last night that the changes we made on Thursday night to the site's navigational layout caused some direct links to stop working -- a conflict with our content management system's SEO aliasing. We've now identified and fixed the problem, so both external links to specific pages and internal links within pages should now be working again.

We appreciate your patience, and we apologize for any inconvenience.

    There are still some broken internal links, for instance, none of the editorial links work.

    Thanks for the heads up. It looks like something else broke. I tried a different approach, and it looks like the editorial and technology links are working now. Please let me know if you have other problems.

    Links seem to be working now, thanks. Great site, just found it recently from a post on Metafilter, been digging through all the old articles since then.
